This Creamy Garlic Chicken is smothered in a flavorful gravy that’s easy to make in a single skillet and can be served with any of your favorite sides.
What you'll need (Serves 4-6):
8-12 - Chicken Drumsticks
Olive Oil
2 tbsp - Unsalted Butter
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
2 tsp - Dried basil
2 tsp - Paprika
1 1/2 tsp - Dried thyme
2 tsp - Rosemary
2 tbsp - Garlic (minced)
1 large onion (minced)
1 Bell pepper (minced)
1 cup - chicken broth
2 tbsp - Flour
1/2 cup - Milk
1/2 cup - Heavy cream
1 tbsp - chicken bouillon powder or two cubes
1/4 cup - fresh parsley
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Clean/Wash chicken and pat dry with a paper towel. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, basil, thyme & rosemary.
Heat oil in cast iron skillet or any oven safe skillet. Add chicken to skillet and brown on all sides for about 4-5 minutes per side.
Transfer chicken to a dish and cover with foil.
Add butter to same skillet (no need to clean, we want all that flavor). Add bell peppers and onions and cook until translucent. Add garlic and mix.
Add flour and broth then mix.
Add milk, heavy cream and chicken bouillon then mix.
Add fresh parsley, then add chicken back to skillet. Spoon gravy over chicken then transfer to oven and cook for about 40 minutes
Remove from oven and serve over cauliflower mash, mashed potatoes, rice or with your favorite side.
Enjoy!
