The easiest 10 minute meal when you need a quick flavorful dinner or lunch idea.
What you'll need:
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
3 tbsp Chili infused Olive Oil (I purchase mine from Aldi) or you could use a combination of Canola & Vegetable oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
4 green onions, white part and green part separated
2 tbsp of minced garlic
1 1/2 tsp mild chili powder
1 tbsp red pepper flakes, more to taste
2 1/2 - 3 tbsp of grated parmesan
3 tbsp of soy sauce
2 tsp light brown sugar, more to taste
salt to taste
6 to 8 ounces of Mafaldine pasta noodles (I purchase mine at Wegman's)
Directions:
Boil noodles according to package directions.
In a medium bowl, garlic, half the green part of the green onion (add the white parts too), crushed red pepper flakes, soy sauce, chili powder, brown sugar, parmesan, and salt to taste, mix to combine then set aside.
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add the Chili infused olive oil and butter. Heat the oils until very hot.
Remove from heat and pour over the sauce you made earlier. Mix for about 1 minute
Add the cooked noodles to pan with sauce and toss to coat. Taste and adjust anything to your liking.
Transfer to a serving dish. Top with remaining green onions and more parmesan (optional). Add more chili flakes if you want it more spicy.
Enjoy!
